Learnings from the Maori Influenza Vaccination Programme
Nan Wehipeihana is an evaluation and research consultant passionate about protecting, evidencing and growing the space to be Māori in Aotearoa. I was approached to support the design of a resource highlighting key learnings from a research project into the outcomes of the Māori Influenza Vaccination Programme (MIVP) developed by the Ministry of Health.
BACKGROUND
The original resource provided was very text and information heavy, my job was to reduce clutter to make the information more digestible, and to work together with the Weaving Insights team to produce a design that was visually considerate of Māori influence.
INSIGHTS DISCOVERED
This project was deeply influenced by my relationship with the Weaving Insights team. I valued their feedback and input so highly, particularly in regards to cultural sensitivity. I was glad to receive such positive comments throughout the project on their appreciation of this relationship & communication. It's incredible how much this can impact the success of a project.
